This 1977 Trans AM was purchased by Muscle Car City from Los Angeles California. This T/A was highly optioned and number matching. It came factory equipped with a 403, motor 350 Turbo Hydromatic Transmission, Positraction rear end, power disc brakes, power steering, factory air, rear defroster, power windows and door locks, tilt steering

Muscle Car City took this project on as a resale so the restoration begins

THE SOLUTION

Paint and Body: remove all exterior trim, bumpers, doors, deck lid, hood. The T/A is then stripped to metal, all jamb area's are hand sanded, rebuild door hinges, body work, primer, block, primer again, wet sand until she is slick. One gallon and a half of P.P.G general Motors code 13 factory silver is sprayed, along with a gallon and a half of clear. The T/A is then color sanded and buffed.

 

 

 

No Detail is overlooked marker lenses are polished, tail lights are polished and factory silver accents applied, grills refurbished, wheel wells detailed, trunk cleaned and sprayed. All new rubber is installed. The factory owner's manual and instructions decals are replaced.

 

 

Motor: Rebuilt back to factory specifications, service transmission, replace U joints. The suspension including upper and lower control arms where rebuilt. The brakes including new rotors and rear drums replaced.

 

Interior::The interior was completely restored. This included new seat upholstery, headliner and carpet. The dash including steering wheel, gauges, lenses and dash was restored. All details including silver accents on air vents, shifter bezel was restored. The factory radio and 8 track was refurbished and works.
