1977 Trans Am with a new "Aggressive" front-end styling featuring quad rectangular headlamps and honey comb grilles the Trans Am was the Hottest looking and selling car of 1977. The Trans Am got a big sales boost when the movie Smokey and the Bandit started filling theaters throughout the country. It featured a menacing black Special Edition Trans Am that outran everyone and jumped raging rivers with a single bound. The movie was entertaining and enormously popular, and it probably sold more Trans Ams than any ad campaign ever devised.

Total production for Trans Am in 1977 was 68,744, of that 15,567 were Special Editions, of that only 1,217 were 403ci T-tops, making this a Rare collector car.
